Mobile App Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 15 May 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant mobile applications for Android and iOS (the "App" or "Apps"). It explains what information the Apps handle, how that information is used, and the choices you have. This policy applies only to the mobile Apps and does not cover the DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant website, which has its own separate privacy policy.
1. About the Apps
The Apps are client applications. They do not, by themselves, provide the underlying automation, AI, or task-execution service. All work is performed on a bot server (your instance) whose network endpoint you configure inside the App. The Apps are not bound to any specific provider or hosted service; you choose which bot server the App connects to.
Because of this, the Apps act primarily as a viewer and remote control: they send your input to the bot endpoint you specified and display the responses they receive back. The operator of the bot server you connect to is a separate party, and their handling of your data is governed by their own terms and privacy policy, not this one.
2. Information the Apps Handle
The Apps may handle the following categories of information:
- Connection settings you provide. The URL or address of your bot server, any access token, API key, username, or other credential you enter so the App can connect to your instance. This information is stored locally on your device.
- Content you submit. Messages, prompts, files, or other input you send through the App. This content is transmitted directly to the bot endpoint you configured. The Apps do not route your content through DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant servers.
- Content received from your bot server. Responses, messages, files, and other data returned by your bot instance. This is displayed in the App and may be cached locally on your device to support offline viewing and history.
- Device and diagnostic information. Basic technical information such as operating system version, App version, language, and crash diagnostics. This is used only to keep the App working correctly.
- Platform-provided identifiers. Where applicable, identifiers required by Google Play or the Apple App Store (for example, push-notification tokens if you enable notifications).
3. What the Apps Do Not Do
- The Apps do not require you to create an account with DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant.
- The Apps do not sell your personal information.
- The Apps do not share the content of your conversations with us. Your conversations go to the bot endpoint you configured.
- The Apps do not include third-party advertising trackers.
4. How Information Is Used
Information handled by the Apps is used solely to:
- Establish and maintain the connection to your chosen bot endpoint.
- Display the messages, files, and results returned by that bot server.
- Preserve your session history locally so you can review past activity.
- Diagnose crashes and improve App stability.
- Deliver push notifications, if you have enabled them.
5. Where Your Data Is Stored
Connection settings, credentials you enter, and locally cached content are stored on your device. The content you send and receive flows directly between your device and the bot server endpoint you specified. The publisher of the App does not operate or have access to that bot server unless you have separately chosen to connect to an instance the publisher provides.
6. Third-Party Services
The Apps may rely on platform services provided by Google (for Android) and Apple (for iOS), such as application distribution, crash reporting, and push notifications. These services have their own privacy practices, which are described in Google's and Apple's privacy policies.
7. Your Choices
- You can change or remove the bot endpoint and credentials in the App's settings at any time.
- You can clear locally stored history through the App's settings or by removing App data through your device's system settings.
- You can disable push notifications in your device's system settings.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes locally stored data.
8. Children
The Apps are not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the Apps without your consent, please contact us so we can help.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Apps or in legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
